Leland G. Vincent, II is originally from the Southeastern Pennsylvania region. He graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Government. He obtained his Juris Doctorate Degree at Cleveland Marshall School of Law in 2002.
Prior to attending law school, he worked in the legal department of the Chemical Manufactures Association as a lobbyist focusing on environment issues, OSHA regulations, and toxic torts. While in law school he was a law clerk at the law firm of Elfvin & Besser, where he worked on employment law matters at both the Federal and State level.
After graduating from law school, he was a Staff Attorney for the Honorable Judge Nancy Margaret Russo in the Cuyahoga Court of Common Pleas. There he was responsible for managing the civil docket, legal research and acting as mediator for a wide range of civil litigation matters.
In 2006 after his term concluded with the Court he went to work for the law firm of Shapiro, Shapiro & Shapiro appearing before the Industrial Commission and State Courts throughout Ohio on Workers' Compensation matters
In 2008 he joined the firm of Stewart and DeChant and currently runs the Workers’ Compensation Department. He brings enthusiasm and dedication to his job, and the realization that dealing with the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation can be an intimidating process. He realizes that individuals who have a workers' compensation claim often feel that they are abused mentally, physically, financially and spiritually by the system. Leland’s goal is to guide the individual through the system and ensure that the client receives the medical treatment and compensation that they need and deserve.
Leland is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, a Board member on his homeowners association, and a part time coach to his children’s athletic teams.
