Paul S. Sanislo was born in Cleveland in 1927 and served as a Staff Sergeant with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers before receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Baldwin Wallace College in 1948. After working in the private sector, Paul attended the Cleveland Marshall School of Law where he received his law degree in 1961. Paul has been in private practice since his graduation from law school focusing his efforts in the areas of workers’ compensation law, personal injury claims, and probate and estate matters. Paul headed his own private law firm until his firm was merged into Stewart and DeChant in 2000.

In his career, Paul was a member of the Cleveland City Council from 1963 through 1968. He has acted as Special Counsel to the Ohio Attorney General and has been an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. Paul has remained active in community matters having been a member and President of the Solon City Board of Education as well as the Solon Charter Review Commission. Paul has also been an organizer and legal advisor to the Solon Drug Abuse Center and received the Distinguished Service Award from the city of Solon in 1984.

Paul has remained active as a member of the Hungarian Business and Tradesmen’s Club and is fluent in the Hungarian language.

Paul is a member of the Cleveland Bar Association and has chaired the Workers’ Compensation Section and has been active in the Cuyahoga County and Ohio State Bar Associations in addition to the Cleveland Academy of Trial Lawyers. Paul has likewise been active with the Cleveland Marshall School of Law Alumni Association and has been an Officer with the Cleveland Marshall Educational Foundation. In 1968 and 1969, Paul was President of the Cleveland Marshall Law School Alumni Association.

Paul still focuses his practice on the areas of workers’ compensation, personal injury, and probate and estate law.
