
Larry’s practice focuses on medical malpractice, premises liability, and all other forms of personal injury law, including general trial practice.
Larry graduated from Ohio University (BSC with honors in 1949) and from Case Western Reserve University School of Law (JD) in 1950, the year in which he was admitted to the Ohio Bar. In addition to all Ohio Courts, he has been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third, Sixth and Eleventh Circuits, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia and the United States Supreme Court.
Larry’s name is repeatedly found in the publications: “Best Lawyers in America,” “Who’s Who in the Law,” and “Ohio Super Lawyers.”
Larry is one of few attorneys in the State of Ohio certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, becoming a founding class member by this Board some ten years ago. He is a Fellow and past Ohio chairman of the American College of Trial Lawyers as well as a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Attorneys and a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. He also belongs to the American Society of Law and Medicine.
He is a former president and trustee of the Cleveland Bar Association and was named chairman of its Court Management Project dealing with the construction of the Justice Center. A founding trustee of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys, Larry subsequently became president of the plaintiffs’ trial organization. He also held the position of trustee and vice-president with the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, a state-wide plaintiffs’ trial bar.
Larry is a Life Member of the Judicial Conference of the Eighth Judicial District, an annual conference consisting of judges and distinguished lawyers who discuss methods of improving the justice system. Larry’s memberships include the Phi Delta Phi and Tau Kappa Alpha legal fraternities, the National Panel of Arbitrators, and the American Arbitration Association. Larry is also a Master Bencher of the American Inns of Court and has been inducted into The Society of Benchers by his alma mater, Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
